Catching Sunlight
When I first began this project, I had hoped to use bright color as a form of narrative to sun soaked photographs. Deep blues, rich yellows and bright pinks would have provided the perfect backdrop for my collection. However, as collection started to take shape I found myself more distracted by the saturation of color than anything else. The bright pink sky only seemed to hinder the what I was trying to accomplish. Using Emily Dickinson’s poem titled, I’ll tell you how the sun rose, as my source of inspiration I hoped to discover a unique and critical analysis of her poem through black and white photographs.
Personal Photography
Created a series of photographs exploring light, mirrors and glass and water. The series was an introduction into photography and editing.
